Carla Ortiz – Miss Bolivia 2018
Bolivia is a beautiful, geographically diverse, multiethnic, and democratic country in the heart of South America. It is surrounded by Brazil to the northeast, Peru to the northwest, Chile to the southwest, Argentinaand Paraguay to the south. It shares with Peru control of Lake Titicaca (Lago Titicaca), the world’s highest navigable lake (elevation 3,805m).
Sometimes referred to as the Tibet of the Americas, Bolivia is one of the most “remote” countries in the western hemisphere; except for the navigable Paraguay River stretching to the distant Atlantic, Bolivia and Paraguay are the only two landlocked nations in the Americas. It is also the most indigenous country in the Americas, with 60% of its population being of pure Native American ancestry.

Carla Ortiz was born in Bolivia – Santa Cruz City, she grew up in a large family of 8 siblings, she grew up in a humble house but with full Love and Union. Her parents were engaged in the sale of handicrafts and manufacturing miniature in wood and jewelry. Carla with her younger brother and sister always supported and cared for each other, when going to school or at home. She studied in a public school and always tried to standing out in her classes and in everything she wanted to do. She also liked to participate in typical dance and contests queen at school. She was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age 8, at a young age she took the decision to be part of a religion. When she was 14th her parents had to leave from Bolivia and immigrate to the United States, to give them a better future, her parents sacrificed special moments and dates with them, despite the distance Carla and her siblings were always communicating with their parents. When she was 17th years old, Carla graduated from San Martin High School. For her the best gift of graduation was to have her parents on that special day. At 19th she graduated in Marketing and Communication in a private Institute, but always her goal was to enter to study at University Gabriel Rene Moreno, with her efforts and purposes she finally managed to enter to the University in 2013 to study Tourism. In 2015 she left her career to meet her parents in the USA. Currently she lives with her parents and siblings in Utah County, she is studies at UVU English as a second language after she is done, she wants to continue study Tourism.
